There may be times when we need to switch off the power, to make sure our engineers can work safely. This is known as a planned power cut or outage.
If we need to switch off your power, we will give you as much notice as possible, unless it’s an emergency situation. We aim to provide written notice 7 days before we plan to switch off the power with a full explanation of why we’re doing it, how long the power will be off, and include useful contact information. In rare circumstances, we may not be able to give you this much notice, this will be because of an emergency situation, but wherever possible, we will always tell you before we switch off the power.
